For the construction of the new Multi Purpose Vessel Rijnstroom, Van Wijngaarden Marine Services collaborates with Maritiem Elektro Zeeland B.V. as electricalsystem integrator. Maritiem Elektro Zeeland (MEZ) is responsible for the complete design, engineering, installation, and integration of all electrical systems on board. This includes power distribution, the power management system, water-cooled drive systems, electrical propulsion motors, the marine battery energy storage system, integration of Praxis AMCS and DP systems, and custom-built navigation consoles.

MEZ’s contribution is distinctive through the delivery of a fully customized electricalsolution tailored to the operational profile of Rijnstroom. By combining a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system with a large battery energy storage system, the vessel benefits from efficient power management and increased operationalflexibility. The long-standing relationship with Van Wijngaarden Marine Services ensures a strong understanding of operational requirements and enables a solution that closely matches the customer’s needs.
