For the construction of the new Multi Purpose Vessel Rijnstroom, Van Wijngaarden Marine Services collaborates with Winel as supplier of the vessel’s watertight doors. These doors are an essential part of the vessel’s safety systems, ensuring reliable protection and compliance with strict maritime safety regulations, including SPS requirements.

Winel’s contribution is distinctive through its focus on reliability, ease of maintenance, and practical design. The watertight doors are developed using proven off-the-shelfcomponents, allowing the ship owner to maintain the equipment easily and efficientlythroughout the vessel’s operational life. In addition, the doors are designed in close cooperation with the design department of Kooiman Marine Group, ensuringseamless integration with the overall vessel design.

The doors are built in a compact execution and fully tested at Winel’s workshop before delivery. This approach ensures consistent quality and allows for efficientinstallation during the construction phase at the shipyard, supporting a smooth and reliable integration process.
