Initially, when the new shipping company was founded, no attention was paid to the colour scheme by which the ships of Van Wijngaarden Marine Services could be recognized.
History
At first, a permanent colour scheme for the Van Wijngaarden Marine Services fleet was not yet considered. This only changed after several years. A period followed during which the ship’s hull had a burgundy colour with two diagonal white stripes. This is how the Giessenstroom sailed around during for instance the construction of the Oosterscheldekering. Eventually the company colours switched to its current orange and white. The design of the ships is white-orange with an orange hull
