This meant that tug LINGESTROOM was optimally deployed as a multifunctional work vessel. It started working as a true icebreaker in the winter of 1992-1993 for the Evergem project on the Belgian waterway ‘Kanaal Gent-Brugge’. A tough job, given the ice thickness that skipper Verduijn presents us.
