The strength of being a ‘charter company’ is that you can deliver whenever the client requests it. This opens up new markets for, for instance, a seagoing vessel that is ‘at home’.
History
On July 5th of this year, the bno.667 was launched at Scheepswerf en Machinefabriek ‘De Merwede’. The ‘Viking Danube’ was a river cruise ship for a Swiss owner. The LINGESTROOM, Scheldestroom and Vliestroom were able to assist and ensured the neat mooring of the Viking Danube at the newbuilding quay. Because the Hardinxveld region and surrounding areas are characterized by the shipbuilding industry, a ‘launch’ is always a local crowd puller. On the dike, they have a ‘first class’ view. In the period 1999-2001, another ‘seven sisters’ were launched. Van Wijngaarden Marine Services was able to contribute to this.
