Within a year, the party boat 'Zilvermeeuw' moored again in the municipal harbour of (Boven)Hardinxveld for all guests who were spectators at the christening and handover of another new vessel. On April 26, 2017, Ilse van Wijngaarden-Ruitenbeek spoke the classic words: 'I christen you LINGESTROOM and wish you and your crew safe sailing.' She then smashed the champagne bottle against the bow.
History
On the occasion of the delivery of this newly built vessel, Peter van Wijngaarden, managing director at Van Wijngaarden Marine Services, said: 'The Noordstroom has been excellently received by our clients and has been working continuously since we put it into service. This gave us the confidence to proceed with the order for a second Shoalbuster 3512, especially as demand from the offshore wind sector is expected to be high. The new LINGESTROOM / bno. 571764 will also be equipped to execute various operations around offshore wind farms and other offshore structures plus much more.' Director Jos van Woerkum of Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld BV responded: We are pleased that Van Wijngaarden Marine Services has ordered a second vessel within twelve months. This is certainly partly due to the excellent cooperation between the management and construction team of Van Wijngaarden Marine Services and the production team at our yard. The result is that we can guarantee a short delivery time, for the vessel to be put into service quickly.'
