Maasstroom christened in Hardinxveld-Giessendam

On 6 October 2026, we celebrated the christening of our newest vessel Maasstroom, at Neptune Shipyards in Hardinxveld-Giessendam.
Built by Neptune, Maasstroom is a EuroCarrier 2712 – DP1 – Tier III, combining modern technology with the capabilities needed for a wide range of maritime operations.
A special role during this milestone was reserved for Nancy Ort-Tulaseket, who had the honour of christening Maasstroom.
With her christening, Maasstroom marks another step forward for Van Wijngaarden Marine Services. We look forward to seeing her become part of our fleet and supporting our clients and partners in projects ahead.

A new name, a new chapter. Welcome to our fleet, Maasstroom.
